Pionyr
Pionyr is an organisation of children and youth and adult people. It focuses
on non-formal, educational activities and is organised during leisure time (after
school, holidays etc.). This organisation keeps an old tradition based on the
Pioneer movement, which is experienced by children's organisation in our country
and abroad. The term "Pionyr" expresses an idea of modern pioneering; the idea
of searching and longing for learning. The name Pioneer is internationally understood
as a man - discoverer of new ways, directions and a herald of progressive ideas.
Our association aims to fully comply with the meaning of this term.
We do not exclude adult membership but the association is composed primarily
of children and young people. Any young person can become a member regardless
of their background (social, national, religious or political).
We create an environment for many indaviduals to form independent groups who
organise their own activities and structures - to establish sections, teams,
clubs, crews and others according to their interests and needs.
We use "play" as the main educational tool in all aspects.
We are a voluntary and open association - we protect the interests of not only
our members, but also of other children. We offer our events also to non-organised
children and youth; we pursue edifying, educational and charity activities.
In all our activities, we stress diversity and versatility as a necessary part
of development of children and young people.
What is Pioneer striving for?
We are trying to fully involve our members and other participants of our events
in the team activities in relation to abilities and possibilities of each person.
In a form of "play", we want to bring to a child and young person
everything he/she can use in adult age not only for his/her self, but also for
their close and distant surrounding.
We contribute to an education of a just, free, independent, fair, active and
fellow feeling people. By these activities and our own example and behaviour
we take part in the development of our children's personality and the personality
of young people. We want to be a contribution to society and act in eliminating
criminality and other socially pathological features.
We create basic conditions that the values of the important documents - "Convention
of children's rights" and the "Charter of rights and freedoms"
and similar - are implemented in the minds of the people and that the formal
regulations of these documents are not violated.
Where does Pioneer go?
We want to benefit the whole of society, our country and the whole world. We
take part in the development of our civil society to become free, democratic
and socially equal. To achieve this, we are trying to develop autonomous rules
and democratic habits of our members in the teams on all levels. In our educational
projects, we present a secular, non-religious view on the events and the world
around us. However, we teach to tolerate other views on the human development.
We work for the benefit of the village, town, region and the whole state - we
develop each of these levels to benefit the public within our capabilities.
We teach our members to be proud of their nationality and of their local customs
and we help to create a valuable relationship amongst all people without any
prejudice.
We wish to become a fully-fledged partner of the state, schools and other entities
working for the benefits of children and youth. We are not striving to have
a dominant position; we try to create relationships with these associations
and institutions for the mutual benefit.
